New York weekend landed, and the Stable turned up. Finishes on the five boroughs, a Cambridge sub-1:40, a 75-minute half and a couple more strong ones besides. We're on 999 sub-3 marathons, just one short of a thousand. Malaga (Sun 8 Nov) is next. Who's going to be the thousandth?
New York City Marathon (Sun 1 Nov 2026)
Niels Leenaars ran 3:47:41, a PB by 6:07.
Aaron Hantler ran his first marathon in 3:38:58, and he ran every step.
Josh Corn ran 4:00:13 chip. On pace deep into the race before the late hills took the last bit. Thirteen seconds. Gutting, and still a cracking day out.
Half marathons
Alan Au ran the Cambridge Half in 1:39:51 chip and hit his sub-1:40 goal.
James Nijjar ran a half in 75:23 official. (His September 5K is in the September retrospective.)
Donato Poet ran 1:29:42 on a hilly half that climbed for the first half and then onto trail.
Patrick Rowe ran a half in 1:35:53.
Dave Ketchen (October, also in Hoofprints #3)
Dave Ketchen ran the Baystate Marathon in 3:00:41, an 18-minute PB.
Brilliant work, everyone. Keep the hooves turning.
