SANS TITRE

Fluorescent colours.

Stablemate Johnny V whacked 2’40” off his PR at the Livermore Valley Half-Marathon in the Bay Area of California with a tip-top 1:35:07.

Placing fourth 45-49 and 78th/1,937 overall, “Johnny 5” was back in the garage before lunchtime.

The Stable News was first on the scene:

“Super happy with the results! This race wasn’t a focus, but it is a favourite, since it’s my local event. (I fall out my bed and the start line is five minutes from my house). I get to run with all my local friends, and my family can easily come and enjoy the festivities.

In the crowd.

Just started with Coach Stazza in late Dec/early Jan. I’d been dealing with year-long shin splints and was mentally a little fried. Since working with Coach, they are gone, and I have never felt fresher physically and mentally. Looking forward to the rest of the year!”

The Stablemaster added:

“Johnny 5 sure came alive in that one … A stone’s throw from his back door, he jumped in and clocked a cracking PB … Very well done!”

Johnny has a stacked calendar pencilled in:

Jun 2: San Jose Half/8K

Oct 6: San Jose Rock ‘n’ Roll Half

Dec 1: Valencia Marathon
