BETTER KNOW A STABLEMATE—JAMES DA SILVA

James da Silva knows his claret from his Beaujolais.

What is your name?

James da Silva.

What is your favourite colour?

Colour of a good red wine.

What is your favourite word?

Couldn’t think of anything witty, so probably my most used word—“b*ll*cks.”

Who is your favourite musician?

From Hans Zimmer, to Lady Gaga, to Andy C—drum and bass legend.

What is your most marked characteristic?

Apart from bubbly personality, 😉 it used to be my huge glutes/massive ass. (That was until I started running.)

What talent would you like to have?

Photographic memory or juggling.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Winning a tennis tournament in my early teens.

What is your idea of happiness?

No more lockdown. Getting out, seeing friends, and a cold pint from a pump.

What profession would you like to attempt?

Looking after a desert island.

What is your greatest extravagance?

A child.

What is your most treasured possession?

Said child, if you can call them a possession.

Why did you start running?

What started out as a weight loss challenge with mates, when we were developing dad bods, turned into a running obsession where now my aim is to see what I can achieve.

What does running mean to you now?

It’s a very odd feeling (and not a good one), when I haven’t run for more than a day.

What do you like about Stazza’s Stable?

While I’m probably the slowest in the group, I love the camaraderie and good banter—no egos.

What is your motto?

Hurry up and get it done.
