OUT OF BLUE COMES GREEN

The middle plain.

Stablemate and PB machine “Burly” Brendan Sheehan sliced another 51” off his best at the Seville Half-Marathon, taking 261st spot overall.

Savouring the balmy, 10°C sunny climes, our man clocked a gladiatorial 73:58—all hail super Sheehan!

The Stable News’ jack-of-all-trades, Ally “the Chin” Smith, got the scoop:

“Lovely conditions for a race—a big change from the weather in Ireland. Huge crowd of 16,000.

Local colour.

Ran with a group up until 16km, and then the group split. The last few miles were a bit hairy, and I had to dig deep to the finish. Happy with the time and looking forward to the year ahead.”

Over and out.

Sheehan’s guru, Coach Stazza, had this to say on his punchy PB:

“Keep chipping away, my boy … The fitness is coming back, and you’re improving with every contest … Big things to come … Mark my words!”

With an “A” goal of further dropping his half-Mary PR, Burly B has a few outings eyed up in the not too distant future.
